How to Checkin to the Chalet

We are happy to be hosting you at the Terra Vista Chalet!

We offer our guests the convenience and added safety of a contactless check-in. You are free to occupy your room anytime after 4 PM.

🔑 Check-in time is 4 PM, and check-out time is 11 AM.
(Early check-ins and late check-outs are not allowed without prior arrangements with us directly)

❗️Important Rules

1. NO SMOKING. Smoking of any kind is prohibited in chalet rooms or common areas.
2. NO PETS. Pets are not allowed in the chalet rooms or common areas.
3. QUIET HOURS. Please be courteous of those around you. The noise level needs to be kept to a volume that does not disturb others, especially from 10 PM to 7 AM.
4. REGISTERED GUESTS. Only paying registered guests are allowed in the chalet rooms or common areas.
5. NO COOKING. Electric/gas griddles, portable electric/gas stoves, hot plates, or any cooking apparatus other than the included microwave are not permitted inside rooms.

* Failure to comply with any of the above rules will accrue violation fees starting at $75, or you may be asked to leave. *

🏡 How do I get to the Chalet?

(IMPORTANT NOTE: At this time, Apple Maps is the only major smartphone GPS that will give accurate directions to the front door of the Chalet. Google Maps gives incomplete directions, and Waze will not route directions at all. We are continuing to work on trying to resolve this issue with Google. Please be sure to follow these directions carefully if you don’t have access to Apple Maps.)

Off of Hwy 101, turn onto Herrick Rd.

Travel 0.9 miles to 907 Herrick Road and turn left onto the dirt road.

There are two dirt roads that immediately ‘Y’ to the left and right. Stay to the left of the telephone pole and to the right of the blue house, traveling down the dirt road that is lined with the boulders on either side. It is going to feel like you’re driving into someone else driveway, just keep going. You’ll pass a yellow sign on the right that says SLOW, 10 MPH, CHILDREN.

Please note that this road is only wide enough for one car to pass along much of its distance. Please travel slowly, looking out for oncoming traffic. Pull over to allow oncoming traffic to pass, if necessary. It is imperative that you drive VERY SLOWLY out of respect for our neighbors and your safety.

Continue on this road, after .18 miles you will pass the yellow Elwha Ranch B & B sign on your left. The road bends to the right here. Make the bend and continue on.

You will pass through an open gate with a Terra Vista Chalet sign. Continue on another 0.2 mile until you reach the circle drive of the Chalet.

Veer left into the circle drive.

🚙 Where do I park?

Feel free to temporarily park next to the porte-cochère to unload.

Then continue around the circle and drive to the parking area as per the directional signage.

Please do not park directly in front of the chalet or adjacent building

🚪 How do I locate my room?

↗️ Pine Room, Alder Room, and Hemlock Room are on the second floor of the main building.

↗️↗️ Pacific Spruce Heights Suite is on the third floor of the main building.

🔓 How do I unlock my door?

• – Press the checkmark √ and the keypad will light up.
• – Punch in the four digit code and then press √ as the enter key.
• – To lock the door on the outside, close the door and press the Yale dot on the keypad.
• – To lock from the inside turn the thumb turn to lock the handle.
• Please be aware that the door handle will always feel unlocked from the inside, and pushing down on the door handle inside the room will always open the door, whether locked or unlocked for safety reasons.

💡 What do I need to know about my room?

• The doors are heavy. Please close gently.
• The fireplace generates heat for the room.
• To operate the fireplace, flip the lower switch to the left to HEAT. Push HOLD and set the thermostat to 3 or 4° above room temperature. Wait for the fireplace to ignite. The thermostat will automatically shut off when the desired temperature is reached. The thermostat will automatically return to the preset temperature when scheduled in the preset.
• For Pacific Spruce Heights, use the switch on the wall to turn the fireplace on and off.
• Rooms are not air-conditioned. A fan has been provided. (Please check your closet or bathroom)
• The white puck is a sound machine/nightlight. Laminate instructions are provided next to it.
• Instructions on how to operate the Keurig can be found HERE.
• The lock to the sliding glass door to the balcony is the handle. Pull toward you to unlock, and push away from you to lock.
• For multi-night stay guests, we are available to replenish supplies from 11 AM to 3 PM while staff is onsite. Please let us know before 3 PM if you might need anything.

👋 How do I check out?

• Check-out is at 11 AM.
• Before leaving the room, please turn off fireplace and the lights, and close and lock any doors and windows.
• If you could please text us at (360) 743-4168 to let us know you’re headed out, we’d appreciate it.
• (Please know that our 11 AM check-out time is very firm unless prior arrangements have been made directly with us.)
